B.A. in Architecture, University of Washington, Seattle, Washington, 1982; Masters of Architecture, Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-ARC), Santa Monica, California, 1988. I have worked for a variety of firms that specialize in diverse project types in the last 23 years.

Why architecture

I enjoy the beauty of aesthetic design, as well as being a generalist & problem solver.

Hobbies / obsessions

Gardening and plants…and more plants. Our house remodel includes a green roof, cistern and water garden. The best reward is discovering that the garden now provides insects, spiders and birds with food, water and nesting places.
