Visio Microsoft
Tenant Improvements
Visio Microsoft occupied 183,000 square feet of office space in the Seattle World Trade Center east building. The 600+ staff were situated in a vibrant office environment with high tech amenities, ergonomic workspaces and a spectacular view of Puget Sound. Coinciding with the construction of the building, the work required close coordination with the interior contractor and shell/core contractor. The building is located adjacent to an existing railroad so innovative acoustical solutions were used to handle the noise from frequent trains. The main stair consists of terrazzo treads, steel tube supports and cable handrails/guardrails, and gracefully flows between the six floors. The success of this project was due to the close collaborative efforts between the design team, client and contractor.
