The Surmang Campus is the initial regional health facility of AMARA: The China Rural Health Alliance. It is situated deep in the high rural mountainous valleys of the Tibet Autonomous Region of Western China. For 15 years the current campus has delivered well over 70,000 free patient visits to the population in this region, and has become a valued and trusted entity in this remote part of the world. The proposed campus will create needed facilities for enhanced patient care, education and training, building on the momentum of the past decade and a half.
